You will design, build, deploy, and operate secure, scalable backend systems and cloud infrastructure that power a fintech application enabling portfolio aggregation across multiple CMA-regulated InvestTech platforms.
This role combines backend engineering (PHP Laravel) with DevOps ownership, ensuring high availability, security, compliance, and automated delivery pipelines in line with Saudi regulatory standards (CMA & SAMA).

Responsibilities

Backend Engineering
• Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable RESTful APIs to integrate with external financial systems and services.
• Implement backend business logic for financial data aggregation, processing, and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with Open Banking frameworks and CMA/SAMA requirements (OAuth2, PSD2-aligned APIs, secure consent flows).
• Apply role-based access control, encryption at rest and in transit, and structured audit logging.
• Collaborate closely with frontend and mobile teams (Flutter) to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.

DevOps & Cloud Operations
• Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP using best practices.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment, and rollback.
• Implement infrastructure security controls, secrets management, monitoring, and alerting.
• Ensure system availability, scalability, and disaster recovery through backups and failover strategies.
• Support compliance readiness through logging, monitoring, and operational controls aligned with fintech security standards.

Required Qualifications

Backend
• Strong experience with PHP Laravel and modern backend development best practices.
• Solid understanding of MySQL database design, optimization, and secure operations.
• Hands-on experience with secure API design (OAuth2, JWT, TLS).
• Experience working on fintech or financial systems handling sensitive customer data.

DevOps
• Experience deploying and operating applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Hands-on knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Bitbucket, or similar).
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and basic orchestration concepts.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, ELK, or equivalents).
• Understanding of security and compliance frameworks relevant to fintech environments.
