We are seeking a Football Analysis Subject Matter Expert (SME) to review, upgrade, and
strengthen one of our flagship football education courses focused on Tactical Analysis and Performance
Evaluation.
The expert will ensure the course content reflects professional standards used in modern performance analysis
departments, while improving the learning experience through real match case studies, applied examples, and
structured quizzes and assessments. The ideal candidate should also be confident using tactical presentation
tools and video analysis software, supporting learners with real professional workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Review and evaluate the current course content, ensuring:
  • tactical accuracy and modern football relevance
  • clear learning outcomes per module
  • consistent structure, terminology, and educational flow •
  • Improve and enhance course modules by adding:
  • real match analysis case studies (team and player level) •
  • applied tactical examples for build-up, high press, and set pieces
  • practical “what to observe / how to interpret / what to conclude” frameworks
  • Develop assessment and engagement materials, including:
  • MCQ quizzes per module
  • scenario-based questions and tactical decision-making exercises •
  • practical assignments (clip breakdown, reporting tasks, tagging tasks)
  • final evaluation project and grading rubrics
    Upgrade the learning experience by supporting content with:
  • report templates and structured evaluation models
  • observation checklists for matches and training sessions
  • examples of professional analysis deliverables used in clubs
  • Support the integration of modern analysis workflows and tools into course delivery, such as:
  • video tagging structures and coding logic
  • Clip selection and audiovisual packaging for coaching communication
  • Tactical visualization using tactical boards / tactical pads
  • using video analysis software to demonstrate key tactical moments and learning point

Required Qualifications

  • Strong proven experience in football tactical analysis and performance evaluation.
  • Solid understanding of phases of play (build-up, transitions, set pieces, pressing) •
  • Ability to translate expert-level concepts into structured learning content •
  • Excellent communication and educational explanation skills •
  • Practical knowledge of football analysis workflows, reporting formats, and evaluation logic
  • Proficiency in analysis tools such as: 
  • Tactical boards / Tactical pads (for presenting patterns and structures) •
  • Video analysis software (for match breakdown, tagging, and clip review)

Preferred Experience (Highly Valued)

Experience working with clubs, academies, federations, or analysis departments

Background in curriculum development, training delivery, mentoring, or workshops

Familiarity with data interpretation and performance indicators (context-based) •

Strong ability to design applied learning materials and interactive assessments •
