We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior General Ledger Accountant for one of our clients to manage their accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will play a key role in month-end and year-end closings, financial statement preparation, and coordination with external auditors. This position requires a solid understanding of IFRS, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality financial data.

Responsibilities

  •  Maintain and manage the general ledger and all related accounts.
  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes.
  •  Prepare and analyze financial statements in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive Chart of Accounts.
  • Conduct regular account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits and provide all necessary documentation.
  •  Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial planning reports.
  • Support other departments with financial data and analysis as needed.
  •  Continuously seek process improvements to optimize financial operations.

Required Qualifications

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 7–10+ years of hands-on experience in accounting, including general ledger management.
  • Must hold an IFRS diploma.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and best practices
  • Experience dealing with external auditors and preparing audit-ready reports.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment and meet tight deadlines
